Naples, FL — On November 8th, Minds Over Tumors hosted its inaugural gala—A Night in Paris—at the Elite Jets Hangar, and the evening was nothing short of extraordinary. The sold-out event brought together community leaders, philanthropists, partners, and passionate supporters for an unforgettable night dedicated to uplifting children and families affected by brain tumors.
From the moment guests entered the transformed hangar, they were immersed in a Parisian-inspired atmosphere featuring a three-course authentic paella dinner, fine wine, handcrafted cocktails, and an electrifying live performance by the Craig Singleton Band. The event also included a competitive silent auction, as well as a thrilling live auction featuring exclusive items and experiences that had the entire room engaged.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, bidders, sponsors, and donors, Minds Over Tumors raised over $200,000—a monumental achievement for a nonprofit organization that is only six months old. These funds will directly support families through financial assistance, toy drives, medical bill relief, and research initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for children battling brain tumors.
President & CEO, Darren Nieves, shared a heartfelt message about the significance of the night:“This event isn't just groundbreaking for an organization that is six months old, it is groundbreaking for an entire nation that has NEVER seen a teenager make this much impact in such a short time. The amount of children we are going to be able to help is truly impeccable.”
The gala was more than a celebration—it was a testament to the power of community, compassion, and determination. Attendees weren’t just guests; they were catalysts for hope. Each contribution, big or small, directly fuels Minds Over Tumors’ mission of providing assistance, relief, and joy to families facing one of life’s most difficult battles.
As the organization looks ahead, the momentum from the gala propels Minds Over Tumors into a new chapter of growth, impact, and unwavering commitment. This event marks only the beginning of what promises to be a powerful movement led by passionate individuals and an inspiring young leader determined to change the narrative for families affected by brain tumors.
Minds Over Tumors extends its deepest gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, or donated. Together, we are creating a future where compassion drives action—and where hope is more than a message; it’s a promise.
